Why Stay in Captive?
Looking at it from a Florida tourism point of view, there are few Captiva hotels.
You could quite easily stay in a Fort Myers beach Florida hotel or any of the Sanibel hotels and still be close to Captiva Island if you wanted to go there.
So why would you want to stay there?
Well, for a start the industry on Captiva Island is travel, tourism and hospitality. So you would be expected to be treated in a first class manner as tourist travel means so much.
Famous people have stayed in Captiva hotels to name but two there was Teddy Roosevelt and Charles Lindbergh, who regularly landed his plane on the beach in front of 'Tween Waters Inn.
Captiva Village has specialty shops and gourmet and casual restaurants along Andy Rosse Lane.
I would point out, in my opinion, if you are going to Florida fishing then this is good Captiva resort for that.
Please Note: description of the amenities and features of the accommodations were correct at the time of writing, but it is advisable to check with the hotel, resort, motel or accommodation to get an update on any of these items.
